Our Story

Our journey began in 2019 when Rustic Road's Director, Jack, made his very first knife. Driven by the desire to craft a blade that not only held its edge and represented ergonomic perfection, but to create a blade that was unique and authentic.

Over the next few years, dozens of hunting and kitchen knives were made, each one more refined and improved than the last.

​

In 2021, Rustic Road was created to showcase the skills and expertise that Jack had developed. Rustic Road quickly gained recognition in regional Victoria as an artisan blade smith specialising in hunting and kitchen knives.

Whilst many custom blades are still made in our workshop in regional Ballarat, to keep up with demand, the majority of our stock is now crafted by our skilled artisan blade smiths overseas.
